Terms and Conditions

Please read these terms carefully before subscribing. By creating an account or subscribing, you agree to be bound by them.

1. Who we are

This website and app are operated by UK Practical Driving Test Ltd(“we”, “us”, “our”), a company registered in England and Wales under company number 17387024, whose registered office is at 17 Welkin Green, Hemel Hempstead, England, HP2 4XE.

2. What we provide

We provide online video training designed to help you prepare for the UK practical driving test, delivered through our website at ukpracticaldrivingtest.co.uk and our mobile application.

The service includes access to video lessons, organised into modules and learning paths, available in English and Portuguese.

2.1 What we do not provide

We are not a driving school and we do not provide in-car tuition.

Our content is educational material intended to supplement, not replace, lessons with a qualified Approved Driving Instructor (ADI).

We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) or any government body.

We do not guarantee that you will pass your driving test. Passing depends on your own practice, ability, and performance on the day. No statement on our website, in our content, or in our marketing should be taken as a promise or guarantee of a particular result.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. If you are under 18, you confirm that a parent or guardian has agreed to these terms on your behalf.

4. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your password secure and for all activity under your account.

Accounts are for a single individual. You may not share your login details with anyone else. We may suspend or terminate accounts we reasonably believe are being shared.

Tell us promptly at ukpracticaldrivingtest@gmail.com if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.

5. Subscription and payment

5.1 Price and billing

Access costs £9.99 per month, billed monthly in advance.

Your subscription renews automatically each month until cancelled. Each renewal is charged to the payment method on file.

5.2 How you pay

• On our website, payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your card details.
• In our iOS app, payments are processed by Applethrough the App Store. Apple's own terms apply to those transactions, and Apple handles billing, renewals and refunds for purchases made that way.

5.3 Price changes

We may change the subscription price. If we do, we will give you at least 30 days' notice by email before the change takes effect. If you do not wish to pay the new price, you may cancel before it applies.

6. Cancellation and refunds

6.1 Cancelling your subscription

You may cancel at any time.

• Subscribed via our website: cancel through the account page, which opens the Stripe customer portal.
• Subscribed via the iOS app: cancel through your Apple ID subscription settings. We cannot cancel Apple subscriptions on your behalf.

When you cancel, you keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for. We do not provide partial refunds for unused time.

6.2 Your 14-day right to cancel

Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, you normally have 14 days from the date you subscribe to cancel and receive a full refund.

This right applies in full. If you cancel within 14 days of first subscribing, we will refund you in full, regardless of how much of the course you have watched.

To request a refund under this section, email ukpracticaldrivingtest@gmail.com from the address associated with your account. We will process the refund within 14 days of receiving your request.

This right applies to your first subscription. It does not apply again to each automatic renewal, as renewals are not new distance contracts.

6.3 Refunds in other circumstances

We may offer a refund at our discretion where the service has not worked as described. Contact ukpracticaldrivingtest@gmail.com.

For purchases made through the App Store, refunds are handled by Apple under their policies, not by us.

7. Our content and your licence

All video content, text, graphics and materials are owned by us or our licensors and protected by copyright.

We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to stream the content for your own private study while your subscription is active.

7.1 What you must not do

You must not:

• Download, record, screen-capture or copy any video content
• Share, republish, upload or distribute our content anywhere
• Share your account credentials with anyone else
• Use our content for commercial purposes, including teaching others
• Remove or alter any copyright or ownership notices
• Attempt to circumvent any access controls

Breaching this section may result in immediate termination without refund, and we reserve the right to pursue legal remedies.

8. Availability

We aim to keep the service available at all times but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may suspend access for maintenance, updates, or reasons outside our control.

Video delivery relies on third-party services. We are not responsible for interruptions caused by your internet connection or device.

9. Changes to the service

We may add, change or remove content and features. We will not materially reduce the core service you have paid for during a billing period you have already paid.

10. Ending this agreement

You may stop using the service at any time by cancelling.

We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these terms, particularly section 7. Where we do so for a breach, you will not be entitled to a refund.

11. Our liability

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.

Subject to that:

• We provide educational content. You remain solely responsible for your own driving, for complying with road traffic law, and for your conduct during driving lessons and tests.
• We are not liable for failing your driving test, for the cost of retaking it, or for any loss arising from your reliance on our content.
• We are not liable for business losses. The service is provided for personal use.
• Our total liability to you in any 12-month period will not exceed the amount you paid us in that period.

12. Your statutory rights

If you are a consumer, you have legal rights in relation to services that are not carried out with reasonable care and skill. Nothing in these terms affects those rights. Advice is available from Citizens Advice or your local Trading Standards office.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If changes materially affect your rights, we will tell you by email at least 30 days beforehand. Continuing to use the service after changes take effect means you accept them.

14. Complaints

Please contact us first at ukpracticaldrivingtest@gmail.com. We aim to respond within 3 working days.

15. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes will be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may bring proceedings in your own jurisdiction.
